At-Home Worship Guide For Sunday, May 24

While we cannot gather face-to-face on Sunday, we can still worship together! Join us on Facebook at 10:45am for live welcome & announcements and to send in your prayer requests, then worship together at home using our regular order of worship, outlined below.

Welcome to Twin Oaks' remote service. Submit a virtual Connect Card here to let us know how we can be praying for you this week.

Gathering

Call to Worship:

The earth is the LORD’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it;

for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.

Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place?

Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false, and do not swear deceitfully.

They will receive blessing from the LORD,

and vindication from the God of their salvation.

Such is the company of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.

Lift up your heads, O gates!

and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.

Who is the King of glory?

The LORD, strong and mighty,

the LORD, mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O gates!

and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.

Who is this King of glory?

The LORD of hosts,

he is the King of glory.

—Psalm 24, NRSV

Prayer of Invocation:

God of power and love,

you raised Jesus from death to life,

resplendent in glory to rule over all creation.

Free the world to rejoice in his peace,

to glory in his justice,

and to live in his love.

Unite all humankind in Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer:

Go around and give your prayer requests, then take turns praying or designate a leader to pray. After offering supplication and intercession, (that is, prayers for others and prayers asking for things) pray Our Father & the Fruits of the Spirit together.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy Name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts

As we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Holy Spirit, we pray your fruit would be in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

By our lives and through our prayers, may your kingdom come.
