At-Home Worship Guide For Sunday, April 19

Updated: Apr 23

While we cannot gather face-to-face on Sunday, we can still worship together! Join us on Facebook at 10:45am for live welcome & announcements and to send in your prayer requests, then worship together at home using our regular order of worship, outlined below.

Welcome to Twin Oaks' remote service. Submit a virtual Connect Card here to let us know how we can be praying for you this week.

Gathering

Call to Worship:

Christ is risen from the dead. Alleluia!

We know that since Christ was raised from the dead,

he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

The death he died, he died to sin once and for all;

but the life he lives, he lives to God. (Romans 6:9-10)

Prayer of Invocation:

Holy God, creator of all,

the risen Christ taught from Scripture

of his death, resurrection,

and ascension into your glorious presence.

May the living Lord

breathe on us his peace,

that our eyes may be opened to recognize him in breaking bread

and to follow wherever he leads,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Songs of praise and adoration: At Your Name & Holy Spirit

If possible, get your guitar out or pull up the piano bench (or go a Capella!) and sing these songs together! If not, follow & sing along with a YouTube lyric video!

Greeting Time:

Bless each other with “the peace of Christ be with you” and/or offer an embrace or a kind word to your family members. If you are following along from home by yourself, greet someone over text or Facebook Messenger!

Announcements:

Prayer:

Go around and give your prayer requests, then take turns praying or designate a leader to pray. After offering supplication and intercession, (that is, prayers for others and prayers asking for things) pray Our Father & the Fruits of the Spirit together.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy Name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts

As we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Holy Spirit, we pray your fruit would be in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

By our lives and through our prayers, may your kingdom come.
