At-Home Worship Guide For Easter Sunday, April 12

Updated: Apr 15

While we cannot gather face-to-face for Easter Sunday, we can still worship together! Join us on Facebook at 10:45am for live welcome & announcements and to send in your prayer requests, then worship together at home using our regular order of worship, outlined below.

Welcome to Twin Oaks' remote service. Submit a virtual Connect Card here to let us know how we can be praying for you this week.

Gathering

Call to Worship:

The stone that the builders rejected

has become the chief cornerstone.

This is the Lord's doing;

it is marvelous in our eyes.

This is the day that the Lord has made;

let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:22-24)

Prayer of Invocation:

O Father God of the risen Christ,

in whose resurrection we find new life,

send your Spirit to dwell among us in this day of worship.

O risen Christ, Son of the Father,

may we hear your word of peace today.

O Spirit of the living God,

teach us once more to live in the power of Christ's resurrection,

in whose name we pray. Amen.

Songs of praise and adoration: Living Hope & Your Love Awakens Me

If possible, get your guitar out or pull up the piano bench (or go a Capella!) and sing these songs together! If not, follow & sing along with a YouTube lyric video!

Greeting Time:

Bless each other with “the peace of Christ be with you” and/or offer an embrace or a kind word to your family members. If you are following along from home by yourself, greet someone over text or Facebook Messenger!

Prayer:

Go around and give your prayer requests, then take turns praying or designate a leader to pray. After offering supplication and intercession, (that is, prayers for others and prayers asking for things) pray Our Father & the Fruits of the Spirit together.

Our Father, which art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy Name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts

As we forgive our debtors.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Holy Spirit, we pray your fruit would be in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

By our lives and through our prayers, may your kingdom come.
