returning to the sanctuary :

What you need to know

As we have determined that upwards of 80% of our congregation is now vaccinated, we will be transitioning from Parking Lot Service back into service in the sanctuary on JUNE 6TH! We are still focused on minimizing COVID risk for the safety and wellbeing of our community at Twin Oaks as well as the greater Eugene/Springfield community, and to that end masks and physical distancing measures are still required. Details/FAQs below!

Our final parking lot service was May 30th.
Health & Safety
  • If you're sick, stay home!

  • Masks are required on-premises. We will have extra masks on hand in case anyone needs one.

  • There will be a screening station and a checkin sheet at the door. We will keep an attendance record in case of a future need for contact tracing.

  • Church bathrooms are open, but we ask that you wipe surfaces down with provided Clorox wipes after using the facilities.

  • There will be a designated entrance door and a designated exit door. An usher will dismiss you after service, but you are free to congregate and catch up outside in the parking lot.

Children's Ministry
  • All children's ministry helpers will be vaccinated adults.

  • Children will be asked to wear masks as long as they can. (We understand that long-term mask wearing isn't always a reasonable expectation for small children.)

  • Parents will check their kids in via the outside facing door to the children's classroom to minimize interaction with/potential Covid exposure to the rest of the congregation.

  • Whenever possible, ministry leaders will hold class outside in the backyard or in the pavilion next door with windows open.

  • Service will start at 10:45am Sunday morning.

  • There will be singing! Music leaders and congregants will  be singing masked. (Wear a mask you can sing in!:)

  • Text private prayer requests to the church phone: (541) 525-0156. Post public prayer requests on our church prayer wall here. Or raise your hand during service to submit prayer requests!

  • A gloved server will hand out pre-packaged communion elements & walk an offering basket around during communion & offering time.

  • The sermon & meditation audio will be posted on our media page, and video of the entire service will be available on our Facebook Live page for those who can’t make it.
